BLAIR CARTLIGE
Associate Director
Blair auditioned for the then "Full Effect Dance Troupe" at the age of fourteen. At the time she was a star softball player and the captain of a cheerleading team. Within two years she became the Vice-President of the group and has maintained the second highest seat in the company ever since. Cartlidge is noted for her highly energetic performances and was instrumental in the change of direction in the group's choreography, pushing for Dane Campbell to implement more mainstream steps in their repertoire. In 2000, Blair started Total Domination (TD), which would become the second company of the organization. TD now Total Domination Youth Dance Ensemble, is the most watched dance team in all of Chicago. In 2005, Blair and three other Full Effect company members sent a tape to Grammy Award winning recording Artist, Missy Elliot. Missy fell in love with Blair's style and soon after made her a co-choreographer in her last four music videos including, "Lose Control", "Teary Eyed", "We Run This"/"Bad Man", and "Ching-A-Ling"/"Shake It Like A Pom Pom". Asides working with artists like Ciara, Olivia, and Keyshia Cole, Blair has performed in the 2005 BET Awards, 2006 MTV Awards, VH1 Hip Hop Honors, BET's Rip the Runway, and other televised specials.
