JAYCE BURNS
Senior Principal
Jayce joined Full Effect Dance Troupe in 2004 after witnessing their Island of Adventure piece. He made his mark in their A Christmas Carol production taking on powerful principal solos and playing "Old Scrooge". Jayce received training at Columbia University and took classes at Ruth Page. He became a finalist in a world wide search for background dancers for Janet Jackson's 20YO tour. He was flown to LA to privately audition for her. To date, his most memorable performance was his portrayal of "Grinch" in FEETDCo's (2007) Da Grinch Dat Done Stole Christmas. Jayce was promoted to Principal in 2006 and is the winner of eight FEETDCo Performer Awards including Most Valuable Dancer (2008), Top Male Dance (2007), Outstanding Male Performer (2006), and Best Dance Solo Stage Male (2007 & 2008). In 2008 he was one of the "magic seven" that made it on the second season of America's Best Dance Crew and immediately after, toured Europe with the company. He is now a chief choreographer for the company and is the coordinator/instructor of the FEETDCo School of Theatrical Dance. In 2009, he and FEDT member Michael Grey set fire to the stage with Versatile and became the 106 and Park Wild Out Wednesdays champs winning the $5,000 grand prize.
