College Bound Celebrities

Versatile has over ten performers and has a college chapter, Versatile-University of AK, Pine Bluff who has over ten performers as well. Many of Versatile’s dancers specialize in a band dancing technique also known as “j-setting” (the dance style showcased in Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” video and in the choreography performed in the film Drum Line). Many of the group’s dancers have a strong musical background, playing instruments for many bands across the country including Central State University, Proviso West High School, Proviso East High School, and the University of Arkansas in Pine Bluff. Versatile currently has a member who is a flag girl for the University of South Carolina and a majorette for Proviso West High School.

As the “middle company” of FEETDCo, Versatile is christened the Versatile Dance Collective, serving college bound and high school graduate dancers as well as young adults who are aspiring to be professional dancers. VDC will attract dancers who may have danced earlier in their lives and now finally have the chance to pursue or recharge their dance skills. Versatile is a competitive entity of the company, with hopes of bringing in revenue from local competitions and enrollment. Versatile caters to the upper teen and adult market with a strong focus on college and post graduate constructive activity.
